Voting Rules
How votes are counted, how picks work and what invalidates a vote.
Draft document. This is a working placeholder written for the RideVote launch preparation. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and completed by a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdictions before the platform accepts payments.
Eligibility
- A RideVote account with a verified email address.
- One primary Solana wallet linked per user for the round.
- Adults only.
How a vote is counted
- RideVote issues a single use vote request tied to your account, your wallet and one vehicle.
- You approve one atomic transaction in your own wallet.
- The server re-reads the confirmed transaction and checks the network, the token, the sender, the burn amount and every recipient amount.
- Only a fully verified transaction is counted.
A vote is not counted when
- The transaction failed on chain.
- The amounts or recipients do not match the published split.
- The transaction signature was already used.
- The vote request expired or was already used.
- The transaction was signed by a wallet other than your linked wallet.
Official picks
- Three picks per user, per category, per round.
- Picks lock seven days before the round ends.
- The same vehicle cannot be used in two pick slots.
Refunds
On-chain transactions cannot be reversed by RideVote. Always read the confirmation screen before approving anything in your wallet.
