What we collect, why, and what we deliberately do not collect.

Draft document. This is a working placeholder written for the RideVote launch preparation. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and completed by a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdictions before the platform accepts payments.

What we collect

  • Account data: username, email address, password hash.
  • Submission data: vehicle details, public photos, one private verification photo.
  • Wallet data: your public Solana address and the signature proving you control it.
  • Voting data: transaction signatures and amounts, which are public on the blockchain anyway.
  • Security signals: a salted hash of your IP address for rate limiting and abuse detection.

What we do not collect

  • We never collect or store private keys or seed phrases.
  • We never store raw IP addresses for analytics purposes.
  • We do not sell personal data.

Why we process it

To operate accounts, review submissions, prevent fraud, run rounds and calculate rewards, and to meet legal obligations.

Blockchain data

Transactions on a public blockchain are permanent and public. RideVote cannot delete them. Linking a wallet to an account creates an association between your account and a public address.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to processing. Contact us through the Contact page.

Retention

Private verification photos are kept only as long as needed to verify ownership and handle disputes.

Third parties

We use hosting, email delivery, an RPC provider for blockchain reads and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection.
